Ylang ylang is derived from the fresh unique star-shaped flowers, which is usually found in the rainforests of Asian and South Pacific islands, most commonly in Indonesia and Philippines.

It is interesting that the quality of Ylang Ylang oil depends very much on the time that the flowers are picked and it's distillation process; It is also said, that the most suitable time to pick the flowers is in the early morning (this yields the best oil).

Ylang Ylang has been used for centuries, for making perfumes and in aromatherapy. Similarly to Jasmine, Ylang Ylang was also known in Religious and wedding ceremonies; in which the aromatherapy helps to lessen tension, stress and promotes a Positive Outlook.

Benefits and its Uses:

Ylang Ylang essential oil is perfect for diffusing to enjoy its romantic and relaxing sweet floral aroma. Ylang Ylang is considered as an effective antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic and sedative. In foods and beverages, Ylang ylang oil can be use as a flavoring and preservative. And in product manufacturing, it is frequently used in luxurious hair and skin products for its scent, nourishing and protective properties.

Cautions:

There are no severe cases that highlight the negative effects of Ylang Ylang oil, however, it is advised to be taken in recommended doses. Because excessive amounts of oil may cause Skin sensitivity, nausea, and headache.
